AGS Pupil Parliament
Here at AGS all our young people can stand as members of Pupil Parliament. All students get to vote for their representatives in a whole school Election. Students meet with the Ethics Committee, create or watch their candidates’ manifestos, and make informed decisions in the confident knowledge that they are important, that their voices matter, and that they contribute to real change. Students are celebrated and informed of their appointments in celebration assemblies.
We inspire leadership at all levels through deliberate language from staff and with students in every aspect of the one curriculum. All students are leaders for those willing to follow and are continually asked to reflect: Who are you leading? What are you willing to follow? Why? The AGS Way makes it easy to know what success looks like. The Respect Agenda makes describes what it feels like and AGS voice is a reminder of what it sounds like.
Following the opening of Parliament, MPPs collect student voice and feed this back to Parliament to inspire progress and positivity, further strengthening the AGS family.
