AGS N-Compass Award
Experience the present
to direct your future.
Our one‑curriculum commitment drives the development of every student as a whole person – the N‑Compass Award is the consolidation of that commitment, enabling students to invest in themselves by tracking, measuring and celebrating all aspects of their progress. The AGS N‑Compass Award brings together the experiences, learning and achievements that define the AGS learning journey for every student. This award is a record of each student’s personal development and the beginning of their lifelong learning journey.
Encompassing extra‑curricular involvement, leadership opportunities, reading, attendance, independence, CEIAG and wellbeing, the award inspires intrinsic motivation and character development.
Reaffirming our AGS PRIDE values and celebrating our AGS Respect agenda, this award is bespoke to each child’s learning experiences and provides an opportunity for all AGS students to shine — demonstrating their preparation for life in modern Britain and supporting them in setting their own direction for future success.
The award runs through our LGG curriculum, with a dedicated Personal Development focus every two weeks for all students. Students review and set N‑Compass targets each half term, with the target‑setting process launched through assemblies and encouraging participation. One PRIDE value is driven collectively each half term, with students receiving certificates and taking responsibility for directing their own invitations to the N‑Compass Celebration Evening at the end of the academic year, provided they achieve and evidence the necessary targets. Increasing focus and building momentum the N-Compass Award drives the Character Curriculum and Personal Development. Our students are experiencing the best of the present and directing the brightest futures.
