CPA Academy

The CPA Academy’s purpose is to increase involvement and opportunities within the Creative & Performing Arts. Students are rewarded for their commitment and involvement, as well as progress and talent within Drama, Music, Dance, Art & Photography. 

Students wishing to become involved will receive an Academy Passport where they will receive stamps when attending extra-curricular events. Students will need to receive a specific number of stamps to achieve each award.  

Each award needs to be achieved before moving up to the next. These will be in the form of badges to where on their school uniform. 

The Academy will be based on a four tiered system: 

BRONZE AWARD

• Attendance at extra-curricular clubs, projects and activities. (100 stamps)

SILVER AWARD

• Attendance at extra-curricular clubs (+75 stamps)
Complete at least 2 of the following:
• Share at least 2 pieces of work with the public e.g. live or online.
• Audition for a lead role or solo performance.
• Evidence of learning and developing a new skill / art form / musical genre etc.
• Attend at least 2 Master Classes.

 

GOLD AWARD

• Attendance at extra-curricular clubs, intervention or extra rehearsals (+50 stamps)
• Opt for one of the CPA subjects for KS4
Complete at least 2 of the following:
• Taught others a skill within CPA e.g. a new song, a warm up activity, a dance etc.
• Consistently show outstanding work / talent.
• Consistently show positive and supportive attitude shown when working with others.
• Performed a solo performance (Extra-Curricular or in Lesson)

CPA Student Leaders

• Nominated by CPA staff for outstanding commitment.
• Produce a short presentation to CPA staff as to why they will be effective CPA leaders.
