Reading Rewards

The aim of the rewards programme is to provide extrinsic motivation to encourage all pupils to read for pleasure and improve their reading ability.

All students in Years 7-9 take part in our ‘Read To Succeed’ rewards programme.  Students are rewarded for their commitment to independent reading with either a Bronze, Silver or Gold ‘Read to Succeed’ point respectively as they achieve the reading goals set at each level. Points are awarded via Class Charts in line with our whole school rewards system.
