  • Student Voice

Our students are frequently asked their thoughts on life at Acklam Grange and are using their voice to make a difference. Following PRIDE lessons and student council meetings, our students played their part in transforming one of our outdoor spaces as part of our 'little people make big things happen' school improvement project. Their vision of more seating, more activity and a place of reflection and sanctuary was realised as a result of consultation with the entire student body and whole school fundraising initiatives. PRIDE Plaza now provides a space within the school grounds which truly represents the hard work and creativity of our students. Additionally as a result of Student Voice: blazers are now part of our uniform and the student rewards system is based around rewards the students have asked for and the PRIDE Plaza area.

Student voice is now collected on a rolling half-termly programme to ensure that we are constantly up to date with the thoughts of our young leaders.
