Flag colours: Blue, Red and White with a golden eagle and 9 gold stars.
Flag description: Two fifth of the flag is blue, on the hoist-side. Three fifths is white. Over the division, extending horizontally about half of the flag's width is a wingspreaded golden goshawk, under an arch of 9 golden stars, extending from one wingtip to the other. In the top left hand corner is a white shield with a cross of five blue eschuteons, each with a saltire of five white bezants, and with a red border with seven golden castles.

Azores is located right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean . It is between Europe and North America.
It is 1,600 miles from London, England to Ponta Delgada, Azores. It takes approximately 3 hours 30 minutes to fly there.
It's land area is 2,333 sq km.
The Azores has a population of 245,000 people.
The capital city is called Ponta Delgada and 70,000 people live there.
There are nine islands all together that make up the Azores.
The main towns (not including the capital city) are:
- Ribeira Grande with 28,482 people
- Angra do Heroismo with 35,581 people
- Praia do Vitoria with 6,000 people
- And Horta with 6,500 people
The national currency (money) is called Euro and is shortened to EUR.
Azores has a Minister of the Republic for Azores and he is called Alvaro Jose Brilhante Laborinho Lucio. They also have a President of the Regional Government and he is called Carlos Manuel Martins do Vale Cesar.
The main languages in Azores are Portuguese and English.
