The ICT Department Aims and Objectives are:

• Provide pupils with opportunities for learning appropriate to their abilities. 

• We do this by ensuring that pupils with Special Educational Needs and Statements are identified and supported within the department. 

• Our department works with teaching assistants and support staff to help individual pupils and groups of pupils.

• We also aim to identify Gifted and Talented pupils and to provide them with extension work as appropriate.

• Give confidence to all pupils in their ability to use computer technology.

• We provide pupils with the experience of each of the strands of ICT within the scheme of work.

• We provide help guides for pupils of lower ability so that they can successfully access Key Stage 3 Units of work.

• Encourage the competent use of Computers throughout the school.

• We provide booking facilities for the use of network room and wireless laptops by other departments.

• We support other departments in their use of computers.
