As part of Refugee Week, a group of Year 10 EAL students did some fantastic work. They held a discussion about why people might have to/want to leave their home countries, empathising with their feelings and experiences. Following this, the students identified on a world map where they were born, their families were born, where they have visited and where they would like to visit. This was then translated onto the large map in the Pride Plaza Pod. The students also created 'pen portraits' about themselves to put on display, raising awareness of their cultures.
