Staff and governors at Acklam Grange School attended a Celebration Evening at Cockburn School in Leeds, led by the SSAT to receive awards which recognise exceptional student outcomes of our Year 11 students in 2016.  The two awards received were:

Educational Outcomes Award 2016 for exceptional student attainment in recognition of being in the top 20% of non-selective schools nationally for student attainment in the 2016 end of KS4 exams and Educational Outcomes Award for 2016 for being in the top 10% of schools nationally for student progress in the 2016 end of KS4 exams.

Nick Gibb, Secretary of State for School Standards, also sent a letter to our school in March 2016 recognising that our 2016 results were amongst the top 5% of schools nationally in terms of progress that our students make between Key Stage 2 (end of primary school) and end of key stage 4 (Year 11, aged 16) for progress (our actual ranking was in the top 1.1% of the country).

Headteacher, Andrea Crawshaw said, 'We are delighted by these results and to receive these awards which recognise the hard work, commitment, dedication and focus of our youngsters and our staff.  Our 2016 Year 11s left Acklam Grange School as exceptionally well qualified but also well rounded, caring and skilled youngsters prepared for life in modern Britain.’ #AGSpride
