No doubt students will spend a lot of time with teachers preparing for exams in Year 10 and Year 11. Here are a few more tips to help students, leading up to the exams:

  • Listen to the advice of the teachers, they are the experts! Remember the exam techniques they taught you
  • Why not draw up a revision timetable – reward yourself when you meet goals
  • When revising take enough short breaks – make sure you get up and move around every now and again
  • Make sure you have all the correct equipment prepared the day before to avoid last minute panicking
  • Get plenty of sleep the night before an exam; turn your gadgets off at least an hour before you go to sleep
  • Eat some breakfast, anything is better than nothing but try to eat something that releases energy slowly, such as porridge
  • Listen to instructions carefully
  • Always follow the rules, failure to do so may result in disqualification – see the advice on the exam protocol page.
